Facilities Engineer

Our client, a major oil and gas producer, is looking for a Facilities Engineer based out their head office in downtown Calgary, AB. This is a 1 year contract position with possibility of extension on a 5/2 schedule. This role focuses on the operation of gas plant infrastructure and is part of an integrated team within the plant operations. This role works closely with site operations and the Production Delivery Team, leveraging an engineering skillset to extract maximum value from the facilities while carefully managing the Health, Safety and the Environmental impacts related to operations. This role will be responsible for troubleshooting and optimization of various equipment such as inlet separation, gas compression, amine sweetening, refrigeration, and vapour recovery units (VRUs).

Ideally, the successful candidate would have engineering knowledge of gas processing equipment as well as operational exposure.

Requirements:
• Recognized degree in Engineering from an accredited university
• Active professional membership with EGBC (Engineers and Geoscientists BC) or at minimum active professional membership with APEGA (Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta)
• Occasional travel and coordination with the site operation
