HR & Payroll Administrator

Grande Prairie, Alberta
Roska DBO Inc. is seeking a HR & Payroll Administrator to join our team in Grande Prairie. This is an entry level role supporting the HR and Payroll teams in a fast-paced environment. We're looking for someone organized, detail-oriented, and motivated to build a career in HR or Payroll.

This position requires you to be local to the Grande Prairie area. The successful candidate will conduct all activities in a manner that supports Roska's CORE Values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide backup support for phones and general inquiries
  • Prepare and distribute HR communications
  • Support recruitment activities
  • Assist with onboarding employees and contractors
  • Assist with semi-monthly time processing
  • Ensure accurate filing across HR and payroll systems
  • Support HR projects
  • Track probation periods and support performance review processes
  • Assist with benefits administration and WCB claims
What You Bring:
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, Outlook, Teams)
  • Professional communication and high level of confidentiality
  • Initiative, creativity, and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in HR, Business, Payroll, or related field is an asset
  • Previous administrative, HR, or payroll experience is an asset, but not required
