Junior Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator

Roska DBO Inc. is currently recruiting for a Junior Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator to support our client, a major oil and gas operator, in an office-based role. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is tech-savvy and interested in learning systems, data, and digital tools.

This role will be based in Calgary, AB (with potential for St. Albert, AB) and will support Field Operations across British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.

You will work as part of a small, collaborative team responsible for supporting and optimizing the organization’s Learning Management System (Oracle Learn). This is a key support role that bridges the gap between technical systems and field operations.

Note: This is not a pure IT/programming position. Instead, this role focuses on configuring and maintaining LMS functionality so that Field Administrators and Supervisors have reliable tools to support training and competency requirements in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LMS system access, training assignments, data integrity, and reporting functions
  • Act as a subject matter support resource for Field Administrators and Supervisors on LMS usage and best practices
  • Communicate system updates, enhancements, and changes to field teams
  • Audit training materials and learning content to ensure effectiveness, accuracy, and relevance
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define and deliver training and competency reports
  • Generate and distribute reports for operational needs and internal/external audit requirements
  • Support user onboarding, registration, and e-learning troubleshooting
  • Maintain and troubleshoot learning and competency content within the LMS
  • Coordinate and test new or updated training content (SCORM, AICC, xAPI formats)
  • Participate in system testing, upgrades, patches, and quality assurance activities
  • Develop and maintain user guides, job aids, and process documentation
  • Update and manage training content across internal platforms (e.g., SharePoint, learning servers)
  • Collaborate with peers across business units to improve LMS tools and processes
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance the learner experience
Qualifications & Experience
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Business, HR, Learning & Development, Information Systems, or similar)
  • Ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a strong interest in learning technologies
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS); exposure to Oracle Learn is an asset
  • Strong understanding of learning technologies and emerging trends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Access, SharePoint, and Power BI
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills, including dashboard visualization
  • Familiarity with e-learning tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, and Camtasia
  • Understanding of LMS standards and formats (SCORM, AICC, xAPI)
  • Exposure to Artificial Intelligence tools in data analysis, communication, or learning environments is an asset
