A major oil and gas producer is looking for a local Field Measurement Coordinator in the Fort St John area. The position will run on either a 5/2 or 4/3 schedule (Monday to Friday or Monday to Thursday), with some travel required at times.
Areas of Responsibilities:
Ensure regulatory compliance and measurement excellence.
Provide technical support and input into the design, installation, maintenance, and optimization of measurement systems to ensure controls are effective and efficient
Effectively communicate and prioritize activities regarding new and existing regulatory measurement requirements
Work with Operations to evaluate, troubleshoot, and provide recommendations to address measurement challenges including but not limited to out-of-tolerance proration factors and measurement inaccuracies or variances. Identify opportunities to improve maintenance efficiency and field measurement accuracy.
Work with key stakeholders like Production Accounting, Operations and Engineering groups
Provide and maintain measurement schematics for operations and production accounting that follow regulatory requirements and reflect the required production accounting practice showing all regulatory required details.
Intricate Solutions Analysis management, FFV and metering schematics
Establish and maintain LGR(effluent) well testing scheduling/exemptions list and sample schedules
Working with vendors to ensure proper Calibration templates are utilized and expectations are communicated accordingly
Validate and store calibration reports
Witness meter calibrations, proves and water draws
Understanding of EFM systems and the ability to communicate concerns to SCADA personnel on what is required for regulatory compliance
Understanding of FDC systems and the ability to communicate concerns to FDC coordinator
Provide measurement training to operations as needed
Communicate to stakeholders of operational changes to ensure they are reflected on the measurement schematics
Support monthly/annual meter proves with vendors
Ensure our testing procedures are following OGC testing guidelines, seek opportunities for extensions and exemptions within the guidelines outlined in OGC Measurement Guidelines
Validation of RTU Gas composition loads to be reviewed monthly
Review post commissioning of new wells for accuracy, ensure initial samples and calibration have been or are scheduled to be conducted, meter id tagging
Investigate any Measurement issues and compliance inquiries
Recommend any compliance measures as needed
Conduct field Measurement Audits
Skills and Qualifications:
Journeyman Instrument Tech
Field Operations experience is a definite asset
Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
Have an excellent understanding of flow measuring equipment in liquid or gas mediums.
Strong attention to detail, strong analytical aptitude, resourcefulness and self-motivated
Competent with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and Power point. Use of Bluebeam is an asset with redlining measurement schematics.
Demonstrates leadership competency and high organizational skills.
Energetic, resilient, collaborative and maintains highest standard of integrity.
As a measurement regulation subject matter expert, be knowledgeable/willing to learn measurement regulations in British Columbia.
Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary to engage with internal and external stakeholders as required at all levels throughout the organization
Able to work independently within a small team environment
