HVAC Engineer
Calgary, AlbertaRoska DBO Inc. is currently seeking a Full-Time HVAC Engineer (P.Eng.) to work out of our customer’s downtown Calgary office. The HVAC Engineer is responsible for detailed design and engineering support for HVAC systems in industrial buildings, providing expertise throughout all project phases, including procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, commissioning, start-up, and final handover. This is a 12–18 month minimum term role, (Monday–Friday, 8 hours/day).

- Minimum 10 years of HVAC engineering experience
- Strong experience with industrial building HVAC design and layout, including pump houses
- Experience with HVAC system sizing, ductwork, air handling units, ventilation, and controls
- Ability to develop HVAC design documentation, layouts, and specifications
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering and operations teams
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements
- Perform detailed HVAC engineering activities to deliver high-quality, constructible designs
- Develop HVAC system layouts, ductwork and piping designs, equipment schedules, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with engineers, operations, and project teams to ensure design criteria, constructability, and operational requirements are met
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support project scope, cost, and schedule objectives
- Ensure designs are constructible in the field with minimal revisions
- Support cost estimate and project schedule development
- Comply with the Project Quality Management System and applicable HVAC standards
- Manage scope and support formal change management processes when required
- Ensure HVAC designs align with safety, environmental, operability, efficiency, and maintainability standards
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registered with APEGA in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of HVAC engineering experience for industrial applications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
