Roska DBO Inc. is currently seeking a Full-Time Piping Engineer (P.Eng.) to work out of our customer’s downtown Calgary office. The Piping Engineer will be responsible for detailed design and engineering of piping systems for industrial water systems, supporting all project phases including procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, commissioning, start-up, and final handover. This is a 12–18 month minimum term role, (Monday–Friday, 8 hours/day).
Key Experience
Minimum 10 years of piping engineering experience
Experience in heavy industrial pipe design for water systems
Design experience with supported and underground piping systems
Familiarity with piping codes, standards, and best practices
Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams on industrial projects
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements
Perform detailed piping engineering functions to deliver high-quality, constructible designs
Develop piping layouts, isometrics, material specifications, and support documentation
Collaborate with engineers, operations, and project teams to meet design criteria, constructability, and operational requirements
Support the development of cost estimates and project schedules and adhere to approved budgets and timelines
Manage project scope, design, and execution plans to minimize changes, applying change control procedures when necessary
Ensure engineering work aligns with safety, environmental, operability, efficiency, and maintainability standards
Qualifications
Professional Engineer (P.Eng) registered with APEGA in Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline
Minimum 10 years of relevant piping design experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced industrial environment
Legally entitled to work in Canada
