Our customer, a major oil and gas producer, is looking for a contract Turnaround Execution Coordinator for a fixed term contract to November 2026. This is a camp based position out of Ft.McMurray with flights provided from Edmonton or Calgary. It is a 4/3 schedule; 10 hr shifts. The successful candidate's primary responsibility will be to ensure safe and efficient execution of the work scope identified in your area.to support the planning and execution of turnaround activities, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across all phases. Reporting to the TA Execution Value Stream Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of execution within your assigned area, collaborating with cross-functional teams and contractors to ensure on-time, on-budget, and incident-free performance. Key Responsibilities:
Safety & Compliance: Enforce OH&S regulations and CNRL HSE standards across all phases. Promote a strong safety culture through coaching, audits, and hazard identification.
Planning & Preparation:
Develop and review work packages, estimates, and resource needs.
Identify long-lead items and coordinate pre-fab requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders for scope definition and execution readiness.
Pre-Work Execution:
Track progress against schedule and remove roadblocks.
Coordinate logistics for tools, materials, equipment, and personnel.
Optimize crane and rental equipment utilization.
Turnaround Execution:
Monitor field activities, report progress, and manage issues in real time.
Liaise with Safety, Operations, Engineering, and Contractors.
Manage work scope changes and ensure adherence to the critical path.
Post-Turnaround Closeout:
Ensure site cleanup, equipment return, documentation, and lessons learned are completed and recorded.
Support startup and plant handover processes.
Qualifications:
Experience coordinating large-scale industrial or turnaround projects.
Strong knowledge of OH&S and Alberta legislative requirements.
Proficient in Maximo, P6 scheduling, and work package development.
Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Team-oriented with a focus on execution excellence and continuous improvement.
