Chef/Kitchen Manager

Job Summary:
In this dynamic role, you'll lead our culinary team, crafting exceptional menus and delivering unforgettable dining experiences. Your creativity and leadership will shine as you manage both day-to-day kitchen operations and special event catering.


Key Responsibilities:
 

Culinary Duties:

  • Menu Development: Create seasonal menus and daily specials that captivate our guests.
  • Food Preparation: Ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes.
  • Recipe Creation: Develop and document innovative recipes, training staff on execution.
Management Duties:
  • Staff Supervision: Hire, train, and manage kitchen staff, ensuring a motivated and efficient team.
  • Inventory and Cost Control: Oversee inventory, manage costs, and minimize waste.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all kitchen equipment is well-maintained and functional.
  • Customer Service: Work with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience.
  • Budget Management: Assist in budget planning and financial forecasting.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Event Catering: Plan and execute menus for events such as weddings, tournaments, and corporate gatherings.
  • Seasonal Menu Adjustments: Develop menus that align with seasonal offerings and special events.
  • Customer Engagement: Gather feedback from members and guests to enhance the dining experience.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Chef or Kitchen Manager, preferably in an upscale dining or golf course environment.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and inventory management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively.
  • Creative and innovative approach to menu development and problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in managing kitchen operations for large events and special occasions.
Working Conditions:
  • Stand for long periods and work in a hot, fast-paced environment.
  • Work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the restaurant’s operating hours.
  • Lift heavy items and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
