Apply to 4th Class Power Engineer
Our client is in search of a Steam Plant Operator in northeastern Alberta. This is a 7/7 schedule, 12 hr shift, days and nights. Camp accomodations provided. The successful candidate will be required to operate, monitor, and maintain steam-generating equipment, boilers, generators, and associated systems to ensure the safe and efficient production of steam and power.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor boilers, turbines, pumps, generators, and auxiliary equipment.
- Inspect equipment, gauges, meters, and control systems to ensure proper operation.
- Maintain operating logs, reports, and regulatory records.
- Perform routine maintenance and assist with repairs and troubleshooting.
- Respond to alarms, abnormal operating conditions, and emergency situations.
- Conduct water quality testing and chemical treatment of boiler systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience in a power generation, industrial, or utility plant environment; oil and gas field experience preferred, heavy oil experience an asset
- Minimum 4th class power engineer license/certification required
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and instrumentation diagrams
- Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and safety skills.
