Our Workforce Solutions group works with customers across western Canada to recruit qualified candidates for assignments ranging from emergency callouts to longer term contingent workforce solutions. Our customers rely on us for operational staff, including plant/field operators, turnaround staff, administration and camp support staff.
In addition to fulfilling the operating needs of oil and gas producing, midstream and pipeline companies, Roska operates, designs and builds well-site facilities, rents equipment and provides production testing and flowback services using a company-owned well testing fleet. Buyer
Calgary, ABOur client, a major oil and gas producer, is currently seeking a full-time Buyer to be part of their Major Projects Team based out of Calgary. This is a Monday- Friday, 40 hrs per week role.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare RFQs and RFPs in alignment with project procurement schedules, ensuring full compliance with Supply Management Policies and Procedures (SM P&Ps).
- Serve as the primary liaison with the Project Team throughout the procurement lifecycle, ensuring clear communication and coordination.
- Lead all commercial negotiations for assigned procurement packages, including terms and conditions, payment milestones, lead times, delivery terms, and other key contractual elements.
- Develop comprehensive commercial recommendations by gathering and analyzing all relevant package data.
- Act as the focal point and driving force for all assigned procurement packages, ensuring timely execution and resolution of issues.
- Provide post-award contract administration support, including managing progress meetings, expediting activities, and overseeing change orders.
- Maintain and update internal tracking logs for agreements under administration (e.g., milestones, change orders, invoice logs)
Required Skills:
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (in particular, Word and Excel)
• Some experience with ERP computer systems such Maximo and/or contract management computer systems such as Ivalua.
• Minimum of 15 years of project related procurement experience, preferably in the energy or infrastructure sectors
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work effectively in a cross-functional team in a dynamic project environment
