Roska DBO Inc. is seeking a multi-discipline Operations Readiness Advisor to join our team in Grande Prairie. This is a hands-on and leadership-focused position that bridges the gap between construction and operations—ensuring facilities, equipment, and teams are fully prepared for safe, reliable, and optimized performance.
We welcome candidates from either an electrical or mechanical (millwright) background who have the ability to work across disciplines. If you’re strong in one trade and have solid working knowledge of the other—plus a knack for commissioning, troubleshooting, and mentoring—you’ll thrive in this role.
You’ll work closely with operations, maintenance, and project teams to plan, execute, and refine readiness activities. From commissioning new facilities and optimizing existing systems to guiding surplus equipment refurbishment, this role combines technical expertise, operational insight, and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate operations readiness plans for new builds, retrofits, and facility expansions
Oversee commissioning and start-up of electrical, mechanical, and SCADA systems
Troubleshoot and optimize facility processes, compressors, and plant systems
Manage refurbishment and readiness of surplus equipment
Mentor and guide trades and operations staff on best practices and safe work procedures
Develop SOPs, maintenance manuals, and readiness documentation
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational alignment, safety, and compliance
Qualifications
Journeyman Electrician or Millwright certification (Red Seal preferred)
Strong expertise in your primary trade with proven working knowledge of the other discipline
Oil & Gas industry experience, including familiarity with compressors, SCADA, and plant systems
Experience in operations readiness, facility commissioning, start-up, and equipment testing
Strong knowledge of project management principles, operations management, and regulatory compliance requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and risk management
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results on schedule
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract
Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
