Plant Operator

Rocky Mountain House, Alberta
Our client, a major oil and gas company, is looking for an experienced Gas Plant Operator for their facility near Rocky Mountain House. A minimum of 5 year's experience working with gas plant refrigeration process.  The successful candidate will be local to the Rocky Mountain House area as no camp will be provided.

Responsibilities 
Duties include the following, but are not limited to:
  • Manage and maintain day-to-day operation of oil wells, single well batteries, centralized processing facilities, solution gas gathering and compression
  • Compliance with production accounting utilizing PVR
  • Contribute to successful daily execution of the business plan (ie. production volume targets, health, safety, environment, OPEX, reliability) by identifying opportunities to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime
  • Provide equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Perform housekeeping, performance monitoring and maintenance activities
  • Provide training and mentoring for team members to assist in completion of assigned production tasks that required additional competencies or in-depth problem solving

Qualifications 
  • Gas plant / refridge experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of oil and gas operating experience
  • Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work in an unsupervised work environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills (proficient in MS Office Suite)
  • Possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License - drivers abstract is required


Additional requirements include:
  • Valid First Aid & H2S
  • Clean driving abstract required
  • Capable of passing pre-employment drug & alcohol test
  • Must be able to work with no or little supervision, as well as within a team
