Our client, a major oil and gas producer, is seeking a QA Auditor based out of their downtown Calgary office with frequent travel required within Canada and the U.S. This role will be on a Monday-Friday shift working 8 hour days.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning, scheduling, and conducting audit activities in compliance with QA auditing principles, practices, and procedure.
Initiating and maintaining an effective interface with the auditees, sponsors, and technical authorities.
Ensuring all documentation pertaining to the audit scope (e.g. checklist, criteria, references, notification letters, plan/agenda, etc.) are current and complete.
Investigating the level of compliance with reference documents and determining the pertinent risk.
Identifying deviations/findings and preparing Non-Compliance Reports, where applicable, and carry out necessary follow ups to close those reports.
Documenting audit process and findings by issuing comprehensive Audit Reports.
Skills & Qualifications:
Engineering degree, with preference for those registered or eligible for registration with APEGA, with most of the experience in Oil & Gas industries. Degrees in Mechanical, Material, Welding, or Industrial engineering is an asset.
Minimum 10 years of direct experience in Projects or In-service Quality Assurance, with a focus on conducting and managing Quality Systems audits.
Lead Auditor certification in QMS or OHS or EMS (preferably QMS) registered with reputable international organization (e.g. IRCA, Exemplar Global) is an asset.
Evident knowledge and certification in Lean Six Sigma (e.g. Green/Black Belt) is an asset.
Strong knowledge of industry standards (ISO, CSA, API, ASME, Alberta Safety Codes Act -ABSA) and their application.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (verbal, writing, presentation), and excellent attention to details.
