Oil & Gas - Receptionist / Administrative Assistant

Fort St John, BC
Our client, a major oil and gas producer, is looking for a Receptionist/Admin Assistant for their Fort St. John office. The successful candidate will provide support to the organization by managing multiple tasks while working within a large team setting. You will function as a representative of the office while building effective working relationships across the organization. You will develop, implement and maintain the administrative systems needed to support the team as well as act as a general point of contact.

*Please note this is a contract position*

Performance Objectives
  • Operate mulit-line switch board
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail daily
  • Process weekly Grand & Toy Orders, monitor, maintain, and order office supplies as required
  • Process weekly Save-On orders, monitor maintain, and order supplies as required
  • Provide administrative support to team members as required
  • Maintain interpersonal relations with staff and outside service personnel
  • Provide problem analysis and solving skills including identifying existing and possible issues and implementing solutions
  • Provide vacation coverage as required
  • Process AP Headering and Manual Entry of Invoices to Open Invoice
Qualifications
  • 1+ years of oil and gas administration experience with Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Formal administrative training would be considered an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
  • Physically fit and able to lift
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of programs
  • Experience with the following would be considered an asset:
    • Open Invoice
    • JD Edwards
