A major oil and gas company is seeking a talented Apprentice Mechanic to join their high-energy maintenance team in the Grande Prairie area. Key Responsibilities:
Health and Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures diligently, maintaining a proactive approach to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with industry standards.
Operational Duties: Masterfully operate and monitor compressors, pumps, and other mechanical systems, ensuring top-notch performance and safety.
Maintenance and Repairs: Dive into routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs. Conduct oil sampling and other preventive tasks to keep everything running smoothly.
Emergency Response: Respond to callouts and manage emergency situations, including equipment failures and leaks, as they arise.
Coordination: Team up with operational staff, engineers, and maintenance crews for seamless equipment operation.
Documentation: Keep meticulous records of equipment performance, maintenance activities, and incidents to ensure everything stays on track.
Optimization: Drive equipment performance to new heights by fine-tuning settings and applying best practices.
Qualifications:
Successfully pass pre-hire drug and alcohol screening.
Hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract.
Journeyman or Apprentice trade certification is a must.
Experience with pumps, generators, and compressors? You’re ahead of the game!
Mechanical wizardry and sharp problem-solving skills are essential.
Previous experience in the oil and gas industry? That’s a bonus!
Stellar interpersonal and communication skills.
Fluent in oral and written English.
Legally authorized to work in Canada.
