Apprentice Mechanic

- Health and Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures diligently, maintaining a proactive approach to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with industry standards.
- Operational Duties: Masterfully operate and monitor compressors, pumps, and other mechanical systems, ensuring top-notch performance and safety.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Dive into routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs. Conduct oil sampling and other preventive tasks to keep everything running smoothly.
- Emergency Response: Respond to callouts and manage emergency situations, including equipment failures and leaks, as they arise.
- Coordination: Team up with operational staff, engineers, and maintenance crews for seamless equipment operation.
- Documentation: Keep meticulous records of equipment performance, maintenance activities, and incidents to ensure everything stays on track.
- Optimization: Drive equipment performance to new heights by fine-tuning settings and applying best practices.
- Successfully pass pre-hire drug and alcohol screening.
- Hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract.
- Journeyman or Apprentice trade certification is a must.
- Experience with pumps, generators, and compressors? You’re ahead of the game!
- Mechanical wizardry and sharp problem-solving skills are essential.
- Previous experience in the oil and gas industry? That’s a bonus!
- Stellar interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent in oral and written English.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical systems relevant to the oil and gas sector.
- Strong analytical abilities for diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting process flow diagrams and technical specifications.
- An eye for detail and a dedication to maintaining safety and order.
