Landfill Analyst

Roska DBO Inc. is currently seeking a Landfill Analyst for our busy client based in Calgary, Alberta. The successful candidate directs all physical and electronic communication to appropriate personnel. The position requires coordination with various departments within the organization, interaction with clients in the field and corporately as well as many internal stakeholders. This role will also be coordinating all of the field based landfill administrators, ensuring alignment and compliance of data tracking. The role provides oversight of existing processes/procedures and drives any enhancements to processes. 

Job Responsibilities:
  • Communicate daily with field-based landfill administrators and landfill customers.
  • Issue and manage landfill waste approvals.
  • Generation of load summaries.
  • Reconciliation of landfill log data and truck tickets to ensure accuracy of data.
  • Compile invoices with all necessary backup documentation.
  • Submission of invoices to customers through various AP applications.
  • Tracking of customer invoice processing and payables, work with AP to identify problems and rectify them.
  • Keep good communication with Landfill supervisors and operators.
  • Filing electronic and physical documents.
  • Analyze weekly and monthly cost tracking and reporting so that the team can report accurate almost real time revenue.
 
Qualifications:
  • A degree or diploma in accounting, finance or economics is considered an asset.
  • Must have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Power point, Word, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat.
  • Basic knowledge in the Oil and Gas industry & Land Survey Descriptions (LSD) is considered an asset.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent multitasking skills.
  • Ability to process large volumes of information and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn new computer programs/software’s.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and readily adapt to change.
  • Proficient organizational skills & ability to prioritize.
  • Work with strict deadlines.
