Document Control Analyst

Location: Red Water, Alberta, Canada
Our client, a busy Oil and Gas producer is looking for a Document Control Analyst for their busy Red Water, Alberta office.  The purpose of this role is to ensure equipment controlled documents are maintained to their latest revision for the facility. Establish site document control standards, procedures and access points for staff to utilize. Advise leadership of potential document control gaps onsite, and provide solutions to resolve gaps.  Must reside in the Edmonton area.
  • Manage the updating and storing of all site procedures
  • Ensure facility equipment data books and other relevant controlled information are up to date
  • Develop standards/processes for checking controlled documents in and out of the maintained library.
  • Identify when equipment drawings need to be returned for use by another user.
  • Identify gaps in site specific document control and work to close gaps
  • Collaborate with Operations Engineering and Maintenance to identify new controlled documents
  • Purge documents which are no longer relevant or needed to be controlled
  • Organize and remove as necessary any legacy documentation
  • Demonstrate a high level of confidence with reporting, updating and managing site documents
  • Demonstrate prioritization of workloads and respond effectively to the urgency of changing priorities for the team and site
  • Grade 12 high school diploma
  • 2+ years oil and gas or equivalent energy industry Document Control experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication including a proven ability to interface positively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office and demonstrated aptitude working with other business-related computer programs and applications
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience within an industrial environment or EPC
  • Drafting experience (CAD, Navisworks etc.)
