Plant Operator / 3rd Class Power Engineer

Location: Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Canada
Our client, a major oil and gas company is looking for a Plant Operator / 3rd Class Power Engineer to join their busy facility near Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. The successful candidate will be operating in a modern natural gas processing plant. Candidates must have at least five years of hands on experience operating in a natural gas facility.  Shallow / Deep Cut experience is ideal. The shift rotation for this role is a 7/7 working 12 hours per shift. Camp is not provided for this role, candidates need to reside within the Rocky Mountain House area.
 
Skills Requirement:
  • A valid 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate is required. 
  • Minimum five years’ experience in gas plant operations, preferably with sour gas experience.
  • Consideration will be given to those with similar industrial steam plant and processing experience.
  • You are a strong team player, capable of working closely with a variety of groups but also a self-starter who is capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of working a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.
  • Preference will be given to Candidates living in the Rocky Mountain House area.
  • Applicants must possess:
    •  Current H2S, Standard First Aid, WHMIS, and TDG certification.
    •  Valid driver’s license and a clean drivers abstract.
