Buyer (with SAP proficiency)

Location: Redwater, Alberta, Canada
Our Client, a major oil and gas company is looking for a Buyer (with SAP proficiency) to fill a term position of 5-6 months. This is a home every night position that can be based out of their Redwater, Alberta office. Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in an oil and gas plant setting.  Start date is as soon as possible.  No camp or LOA is provided for this role.  Local candidates are encouraged to apply.
Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Ensuring that the ordering, shipping, receiving of all parts for internal customers are completed in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Work with the inventory management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing products
  • Assist the Supply Chain Manager with maintaining proper inventory levels of materials used on a regular basis
  • Establish reliable lines of contact with field management team to ensure that all field purchase orders are accurate
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience using SAP in depth
  • At least 2 years’ experience working a purchaser
  • Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel, MS Word and SAP
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with a team
  • Able to thrive in a high-stress and fast-paced environment
  • Clean Drivers Abstract
  • Must pass pre hire drug and alcohol testing
